Best Foldable Smartphone?! OPPO Find N Unboxing & First Impressions⚡

OPPO Find N is here! It’s the 1st foldable phone from OPPO & this opens lots of doors! It’s a little different! Here’s the box & I’m excited to open it! It’s all black & there’s Chinese printed here as it’s a Chinese variant & it hasn’tlaunched in India. I’m not sure whether it’s going to launch in India but it was shown on OPPO Inno Day & we now have it here. Unboxing – Designed For Find & this here is printed in Chinese. This is the phone. It’s not a tall phone. Ohh OMG! Thank you OPPO! There’s a 33W fast white charger in a black box. There’s documentation in all Chinese & a white USB to USB type C cable. Let’s keep everything aside. It already feels very different! Let me open it right away! Look at that! In Hand Feel – OMG! This phone feels in the middle of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 & the Z Flip3. It’s not very tall & is slightly on the broader side & smaller than the Z Fold3. It has a beautiful in-hand feel. Yes it’s a little heavy as it’s a foldable phone but it’s very nice! Can we open it with 1 hand? No! It cannot be opened with 1 hand. Oh! I don’t see the creases at all! The ones I saw in the Z Fold3 or the Z Flip3, it’s almost absent here. Yes, it’s slightly visible but not as pronounced. What would be its weight? 250-260g? Let’s see! It’s 278.9g! Yes, it’s 279g. And it doesn’t feel that much. It’s slightly a little broad & has a good weight distribution. Let me open & see. Build Quality – It feels really nice. If I talk about its build, then the main screen has some raised rubber edges. Even if you keep the phone upside down, you shouldn’t have any problems. If you keep the phone downside up, then you’ll notice wobbles. It’s a different form factor to play with! And it wobbles due to the raised camera bump just like in the OPPO Find X3 Pro, a smooth curve. Ports & Buttons – Below, you get a USB Type C on the right, speaker grills on both sides & a sim card tray as well. There’s a fingerprint scanner on the right which is also the power on/off button. On the top, there’s a noise cancelling microphone. And there’s a volume rocker on the left. And you also get antenna lines all over. And this is a metal frame. The main screen has a pre-applied scratch guard & you can’t remove it because it’s a rubberised safety. And it’s a glass-metal sandwiched design. You get Gorilla Glass Victus on the front & back. And the camera bump is ceramic. It’s time to start the phone! And if you’re enjoying this video, then do hit LIKE! Display – Wow! It absolutely doesn’t have any bezels! Look at it. It’s all just a rubberised frame on the side with an edge-to-edge design. Look at that! Everything is screen & you get a 32 MP selfie camera on the left. Now Let’s look at the front(secondary screen)! OMG! This is a very usable screen like a compact phone. It’s a 5.49 screen & its bezels are non-existent. And due to that its form factor is a little small so I love that! The phone can be handled with 2 hands but the hinge feels confident while closing/opening it. And doesn’t feel like it’s loose or faulty. The main screen is 7.1 & the both primary & secondary screens are AMOLED. The inner(big) screen is FHD+ with 120Hz fast refresh rate. But the outer screen is 60Hz AMOLED. The screen is provided by Samsung & this is 0.03mm thin. Generally it’s 0.6mm so it’s really thin & the crease is almost invisible! And this phone feels like it’s ready for prime time! The reason why we don’t see the crease is because you get a teardrop shape when you fold it. So it doesn’t stick together & that makes it less creased. The hinge has a Flex Form Mode, that basically means if you’re taking a selfie, you can fold at an angle & take a picture! Or else if you’re watching a video, you can watch it on the upper half & type on the lower half of the screen. But this front screen is a fully functional modern screen, you can easily type on it. In fact, the Galaxy Z Fold3 had a bigger screen but it was a tall & narrow phone.

This isn’t narrow so typing on the screen will be much easier like a compact 5.5 smartphone. Battery – It has a 4500mAh battery with 33W fast charging which could’ve been more but it’s ok. And 4500mAh was doubtful for me to run for the whole day but due to the usable smalls screen, it’ll easily go on for a day, Because until & unless you need the bigger screen for multimedia etc, only then you’ll open it else most of your tasks can be managed on the small screen. OS & Features – It’s important to optimize the UI on a foldable phone. It should compliment the phone & it has special features on the phone like Flexible Window, Quick Return, Smart Sidebar, Kids Space, Driving Mode, etc. But it comes on Android 11 out-of-the-box & it’s a Chinese variant so it comes on the Chinese ColorOS UI. We had to do a lot of things like installing PlayStore, but overall, not just the form factor, but it’s 90% freely usable. It’s ready for prime time & there are some bugs like the Flex Form Mode doesn’t work & it only supports the system apps for twin window screens. So yes, there are certain bugs but remember this is OPPO’s 1st attempt on a foldable phone & I’m impressed! And friends, it has 2 screens & you want to switch to the bigger screen, the switch is pretty seamless & works well 99% of the time. So That’s good! The OS optimization has some bugs but most of them have been done right! Multimedia – You get stereo speakers on this phone & multimedia will mainly be consumed on the bigger screen, So there are 2 speakers below & you can switch the screen horizontally/vertically due to its square shape. So its form factor despite being horizontal/vertical, it’ll preview the same for both. Cameras – On the rear, you get a triple camera setup & 32MP selfie cameras on both primary & secondary screens. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP(primary)+16MP(ultra wide)+13MP(telephoto) triple camera. I’ve clicked some photos & the camera seems decent to compare with other flagship level phones like iPhones etc. But it’s not that bad either. They’ll have to improve the cameras on this one. There’s an advantage of foldable phones, when you want to click selfies. You can use the back screen. So you can click ultrawide selfies as well. So the rear primary sensor can be used for selfies. I’ll show you how. So this is where I’m using the phone’s rear camera as a selfie & it’s lovely! So it’s definitely a good feature for your selfie photos/videos. Performance – It comes on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with a near 8L AnTuTu score. And it shows as we played games. The swipes/touches & animations are all super smooth & the displays are really good! The overall performance & specifications are excellent. Price – It costs under Rs 1L, the base variant(8GB+256GB) comes around Rs 98K when converted. I don’t know the price if it launches in India but it’ll be around a Lakh. And for that price, wow! If I sum it up, then I’d say that foldable phones have come a long way & OPPO Find N is a testament to that. These phones are really useful now & are not just a gimmick. I really like it’s form factor, especially the screens & moreover the secondary screen! Apart from the camera, there’s nothing to hate about this phone. This is OPPO Find N. N – No compromise on a foldable phone, according to me! Did you enjoy the video? Hit LIKE & SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed it! That’s all for this video, until the next one, Keep Trakin & Stay Safe!
